Our Meadery and Distillery
Our distillery is built on a foundation of sustainability, utilizing solar energy, hydroelectric power and gas for heating to ensure efficiency and reliability, even during load-shedding. Advanced water management practices, including a closed-loop cooling system and grey water recycling, further conserve resources. We minimize waste by composting botanical by-products and recycling materials like glass, all while maintaining eco-friendly production processes that reduce our carbon footprint and support a sustainable future.

Zambian Meadery’s commitment to sustainability and community development is strengthened by our support of the responsible sourcing of wild honey from the Miombo woodlands. While empowering local beekeepers with economic opportunities, our efforts promote biodiversity and ecological balance, ensuring a positive, lasting impact for future generations.
